My latest work is Barnaby, an adventurous monk from the fantastic range of Spyglass Miniature. It is really a shame that Spyglass Miniatures no longer exists. Luckily I have several unpainted ones left 🙂
Barnaby is a rather easy, painter-friendly miniatures and could be painted quickly (for me at least). Again I tried to experiment a little and revisited two techniques which haven’t been working for me in the past. First I used the two color method for priming – after priming the miniature black I gave it a few bursts of white primer from directly above. Second I used a wet palette throughout the painting process. I am still not sold on both techniques, but I think I will experiment a bit more before passing out final judgement.
