My latest addition to the Iron Wind Metals gallery is the Panther BattleMech – arguably the most common Light Mech of the Draconis Combine. This is probably the first miniature I have painted primarily with the gaming table in mind … I am not yet sure if there will be a sequel to this experience … time will tell I guess ;)

Draegyn: The Forgotten

Well … actually it is Draegyn, the Black Bastard, but … uhm … somehow I have completely forgotten about this miniature. This was my last work in 2008 – I finished the mini in December, took the pictures, added Draegyn to my CMON account and even added the pictures to the gallery on darklined, but I completely forgot to actually update the site …

Draegyn, the Black Bastard

Ok, better late than never I present Draegyn, the Black Bastard. This is a miniature from the Iron Kingdoms range – produced by Privateer Press – which I wanted to paint for a long time. Actually I have started to work on it for three times on previous occasions, but each attempt ended with the mini taking a bath in acetone. I almost stripped the mini again, but this time I forced myself to finish it. Looking at the result I think this was the correct decision.

Finally das bemalforum released the next issue of their e-zine TDpainted. So far I only had the chance to take a very quick look, but the first impression is excellent. One of the main features is the coverage of the online painting contest Paint It 2008 with pictures and comments for every entry. Download TDpainted01 »

With the entries finally online I can now add my entry to the galleries. I painted Hatherley the Dwarf from Hasslefree Miniatures.

Signs of life

Phew, long time no see! So what has happened? Well, first of all I married my long time girlfriend in May :D These are of course good news for me, but what does this have to do with painting you ask? Actually it does have to do with painting … the wedding cake toppers were painted by me. Pictures will follow soon – for now I will only say that these were not the ordinary wedding cake toppers you might expect …
