Today was Games Day Germany 2009 in Cologne. Sadly I didn’t have the time necessary to enter the Golden Demon competition myself, but at least I manage to drop by and snap some pictures … I don’t have all the winners, but you can easily see that the quality of the entries was very high. … was today. And overall it was a terrific event. However the weather was definitely too hot. Although the Golden Demon competition had noticeably fewer entries this year, the overall quality was excellent as always. Very strong categories (in my opinion at least) were 40k Single, Duel, Large Scale and Diorama. The Slayer Sword went to Ben Komets for his 54mm scale diorama – a well deserved win in my opinion. Congratulations Ben!

As always it was nice to meet so many like minded people, old and new friends, and chat about the hobby. I have taken several pictures and once I sort through them I will post a few on the site. Meanwhile I have added my humble contribution to the Golden Demon to the Games Workshop gallery – Sergeant Centurius of the Legion of the Damned. Of course I had to choose probably the toughest category of the day for my entry …
