Sergeant Centurius

Sergeant Centurius is a special character for the Legion of the Damned. The miniature is a limited edition release which was only available for a short time in the 90ies I believe. While the sculpt is probably not 100% up to todays standards I still like it a lot.

Painting wise this was my first Space Marine I started and actually finished … Making the black armor look weathered and used was a challenge. I painted on lots of cracks and used a number of brown and reddish brown washes in several spots. The end result is probably a little (too) subdued, but this seems to be a general fault problem with my minis ;)

    I have loved this model for a long time and have just a few minutes ago won one on Ebay. I’m delighted even though it was a lot of money.

    After seeing the pictures here, I’m planning on trying to emulate the effect you managed on this mini. I think you did a wonderful job that totally fits this model and the fluff for the LOD.

    If you still have some higher resolution pics of this model, would you share? I would appreciate it. I plan to use them for a reference if I can get them.
