Event Coverage for Crisis 2009 is up. Once again it was a very nice con with lots of exhibitors from Germany, Belgium, France and the UK being present. As always Crisis also featured a very strong painting competition. This year the judges were unusually critical resulting in very few prices. Still I managed to snag a Bronze medal in the ‘smaller than 15mm’ category with my Shilone Aerospace Fighter (even without going 2.0 …). Enjoy the pictures!
… makes it off the table. This time it is a customized Project Phoenix variant Locust. The base for this miniature was the 5V Locust available from Iron Wind Metals, but the arms were scratchbuild using various metal and plastic bits and some putty work.
My latest addition to the Iron Wind Metals gallery is the Panther BattleMech – arguably the most common Light Mech of the Draconis Combine. This is probably the first miniature I have painted primarily with the gaming table in mind … I am not yet sure if there will be a sequel to this experience … time will tell I guess
Today was Games Day Germany 2009 in Cologne. Sadly I didn’t have the time necessary to enter the Golden Demon competition myself, but at least I manage to drop by and snap some pictures … I don’t have all the winners, but you can easily see that the quality of the entries was very high. Games Day Germany 2009 – enjoy!
Take a look at that mythical place known as my workbench – a place where usually more projects get started than finished … Here is a closeup of two of my current projects – a Predator an Alien Headhunter and the Liberator BattleMech.
Read a detailed description about how I painted the Longshot BattleMech featuring many step-by-step pictures.
